Disaster Alert: Coastal Storm in Massachusetts

Disaster Alert

Massachusetts – A coastal flood threat due to yesterday’s storm prompted limited evacuations along the coast. A mandatory evacuation was ordered for Salisbury as well as voluntary evacuations in other towns.

The Emergency Operations Center is expected to activate today.

The Massachusetts Bay and Northeast Massachusetts chapters each opened a shelter.

The chapters are in communication with Emergency Management along the coast to assess needs.
