Press Release: Red Cross Responds to Morgan Fire on Mt. Diablo


Local Red Cross volunteers are at the Evacuation Center located at the Clayton Library, 6125 Clayton Road, Clayton, CA 94517, and are ready to assist those affected by the Morgan Fire on Mt. Diablo.

The Evacuation Center was opened Sunday afternoon when the Red Cross deployed volunteers and two mobile feeding units to the area support the wildfire response.

The Evacuation Center is open to anyone affected by the Morgan Fire and will remain open for at least the next two days. Additional Red Cross volunteers are on standby to respond to client needs.

The Red Cross would like to thank the community and our partners, including CalFire, Contra Costa Fire, Salvation Army, Trader Joe’s, Lucky Market, Home Depot and Dignity Health for all of their support and willingness to help those affected by the fire.

At this time, the Red Cross does not need donations of food or water.
