Alaska – An air taxi that carried nine passengers and a pilot crashed in the Kenai Peninsula on Sunday. There were no survivors.
In a separate incident, a wildfire that has been burning since last month threatened homes and prompted the evacuation of residents in the Fairbanks North Star Borough on Sunday.
The Red Cross of Alaska chapter communicated with local authorities and is prepared to provide assistance if necessary.
The Disaster Operations Center at National Headquarters contacted the National Transportation Safety Board.
The chapter deployed Team Members, opened a shelter and collaborated with local vendors to provide Mass Care.
