OKC Hay Fire - Cold and Rain Doesn't Stop Red Cross Volunteers

Red Cross volunteers from Oklahoma City provided warm and cold drinks along with a meal to 20 firefighters working a hay fire on the city’s west side April 1 in cold and rainy conditions. Once the response truck pulled up, firefighters were immediately given hot chocolate and coffee. Fun fact, these guys really like their hot chocolate! Volunteers remained on the scene of the fire for 9 hours. The dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of donors makes this service possible.
