In a Jersey City, New Jersey warehouse on Saturday, 11/10/12, at 8am, Red Cross workers organize and help hundreds of volunteers from the tri-state area rush to prepare, ship and deliver supplies for storm weary Hurricane Sandy residents in New Jersey and New York. Large multi-use bags contain supplies that storm victims have been asking Red Cross workers for since the storm hit: blankets, work gloves, trash bags, flashlight, batteries, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, hand and toe warmers and guidelines and safety tips on helping kids recover after the storm. Volunteers were also delivering Red Cross clean-up kits with bleach, rope, buckets and cleaning supplies. Volunteers assembled and delivered nearly 130,000 “Sandy Kits” over the weekend to some of the hardest hit areas of New York and New Jersey. Photo by Talia Frenkel/American Red Cross
