Evacuees fleeing from Hurricane Isaac found themselves in various Red Cross shelters across seven states. Most had experience in shelter living because they were mostly Katrina survivors. For most people though, a Red Cross shelter is more of a mystery. In this video, we take you behind the scenes at a Red Cross shelter set up for Isaac evacuees in Desoto, Texas. It is our greatest hope that you’ll never need to spend the night in a Red Cross, but if you do, we’ll do all we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
