Red Cross Responds to Tragic Shooting in Midtown Manhattan
New York – The American Red Cross has deployed mental health, spiritual care, and health services volunteers to support those affected by a tragic shooting in midtown Manhattan this morning near the Empire State Building.
The Red Cross has also sent a mobile response vehicle to the scene of the accident to support emergency responders with snacks and beverages.
“We want to express our sincere condolences for those who have lost their lives and our thoughts are with those injured and their families,” said Josh Lockwood, American Red Cross Greater New York Region CEO.
“Over the next few hours and days, the Red Cross will be working in close coordination with local government officials to determine how we can best help the community and support emergency workers who have responded to this incident.”
